About the Seminary

History of the seminary

Christ United Missionary Bible College (CUMIC) was the first Seminary/Bible College in Ondo State, Nigeria. In early 1986, the Lord started speaking to the president of Christ United Missionary Organization (CUMO), Bishop Tom Oluwasesan Oluwadele, about the need for some type of missionary preparation. In June 1987, the executive of CUMO agreed that a missionary training institution be established to give adequate training in cross-cultural ministry for Nigerian missionaries. On January 16th 1989, Christians from all over Akure (the Capital city of Ondo State), Nigeria congregated in City Stars Holiday Inn, Akure, Nigeria for the formal inaguration of CUMIC. The name was later changed to Azusa Charistmatic Seminary (ACS). ACS is a ministry of Tom Oluwadele World Outreach (TOWO).

About the Conference

Our Creed and Philosophy

Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the BIBLE is the inspired and only infallible authoritative word of God.
  • We believe in the Holy Trinity nature of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and the truth that He is the Son of God.
  • We believe in the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. He by the grace of God tasted death for every man and we believe that every man must be "Born Again" or be forever lost.
  • We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit. His work of regeneration and His indwelling in the heart of the believer.
